2. Do you? Do you find building new platforms from the ground up exciting? Do you like working with new technologies, finding new solutions to complex problems? People Technology is looking for Software Development Engineers that want to work in a green field environment building large-scale data processing platforms.

You will help build a custom data management platform capable of processing complex data sets from many disparate systems using AWS technologies such as Lambda, Redshift, S3, and many others. This platform will serve hundreds of thousands of active users to deliver data-driven insights about the Amazon employee lifecycle.

3. About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for building a new data platform, implement horizontally scalable data processing algorithms, develop clients and interfaces to access and analyze complex information in an intuitive manner. Amazon is the market leader in cloud services. You will get to work on this amazing platform, sitting across the room from people who build it. You will develop software to meet complex data security needs, build out different data access services and develop new and innovative ideas that benefit the Amazon world.


- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional development experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
- Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers at large scale


- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience working with Agile engineering practices.
