About the Role

This role is part of a team that support the International Supply Centre ( ISC ) for Diageo. There is flexibility for the role holder to be based at any site within the ISC. This role covers all COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY requirements within International Supply Centre. The Process Safety Co-Ordinator will be required to work with Management Teams, Operators, Craft, H&S, Environmental and Engineering Specialists responsible for COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY Sites to ensure that all current COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM activities are effectively progressing. This includes driving consistency across all COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY sites in relation to Competent Authority Strategic Inspection Topics.

The Process Safety Coordinator will be required to have a good working knowledge of COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY requirements. Good co-ordination and organisational skills are required to ensure that regionally developed major accident mitigation programmes are effectively communication and embedded within COMAH sites. The Process Safety Co-ordinator will also be required to lead on Strategic Topics and drive the Internal Audit Programme for COMAH and PROCESS SAFETY related activities on all relevant sites.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities
Work with Programme leads for Strategic Inspection Topics and support sites embed the programmes within each COMAH site
Develop, roll out and support sites embed a Human Factors Programme and Abnormal Events that demonstrates Diageo’s commitment to preventing major accidents
To ensure that business changes are documented accurately within the COMAH related documentation using the Management of Change Process

Qualifications and Experience Required
5 years OH&S industrial experience with particular knowledge of process safety management. Good working knowledge of bulk spirit operations across Distillation, Maturation and Packaging operations.

NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health qualification or degree equivalent with focus on Process Safety
Awareness of the requirements of COMAH Regulations 2015
Auditing Skills but preferable Lead Auditor qualified.
Project Management Skills
Excellent Organisational Skills
Good Engagement & Communication Skills
Must have good interpersonal and influencing skills.
Must be approachable and able to provide clear and concise information.
Strong facilitation, training and presentation skills.
Good at networking to establish excellent relationships at all levels.
