Senior Manager - EU5 Hardlines Product Management

Amazon is looking for a talented Senior Manager to drive our continuing activities to improve catalogue quality as part of our Item Data Quality team.

This is a rare opportunity for a talented leader to lead EU5 HL Discoverability and Reporting Initiatives. You will define and implement groundbreaking innovations that will change the way customers search and buy products on Amazon through technology and product excellence. You will manage a team of senior product/program managers and leverage a set of global resources to support projects with a focus on discoverability and item data quality on millions of products on Amazon. You and your team will define the products and programs, drive projects, accelerate work already underway and design and implement innovative solutions, working closely with the business and technology teams across EU5 and globally.

The successful candidate will have experience in product management, business management or technology management with demonstrated career progression. He/she will bring a proven track record of leading large-scale cross-functional projects, hiring and developing people/teams, identifying and driving process improvement and automation, managing and driving improvement in operational metrics, fostering strong partnership with teams across the company, and advocating on behalf of customers. The candidate will be a big thinker who can come up with innovative ideas to solve complex and ambiguous problems

Responsibilities:
· You will be responsible for continually solving highly complex problems, working on a Global Basis with stakeholders from business, technology and programme teams.
· You will be expected to challenge the status quo in the name of delivering step change to ensure we deliver a fantastic customer experience.
· You will partner with business and technology stakeholders and leaders across the organization to drive strategic initiatives through leadership and influence.
· You will operate with significant autonomy to deliver results and achieve the goals and objectives of both your team and the broader organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Superior verbal, visual, and written communication skills; the candidate must be a strong leader who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives while also being capable of interfacing with the technical community at varying levels
· Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or an advanced degree
· Strong numerical and analytical aptitude; Ability to analyze and propose data-driven solutions
· Both technically deep and business savvy and able to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization
· Exceptional interpersonal skill. Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proven experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others
· Strong track record of recruiting, hiring and developing talent
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
· Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
· Detail oriented.
