Senior Outbound Marketing Manager

The Amazon Music Outbound Marketing Team connects with customers with personalized marketing via email, push notifications, and in app messages, building technology and providing expertise throughout the company.

The UK Amazon Music team is looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed, analytical Senior Outbound Marketing Manager to lead marketing channels including, but not limited to email, push messaging, and in app messaging for our three digital music businesses: Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Music, and the Download Store. The Senior Outbound Marketing Manager will focus on customer acquisition and engagement as we grow our UK business. As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will shape the customer experience across the Amazon ecosystem and devices, including the Amazon Music App, across Amazon categories, and beyond.

You will create and execute a comprehensive, integrated Outbound strategy that spans across channels, working closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and more on the Amazon Music team and in close partnership with our Amazon Devices teams, including the Amazon Echo team. You will develop strategy for key events, owning product vision, seeking out opportunities for automation, and executing a best-in-class customer experience. You will lead a team of marketing specialists to create your vision. You will partner directly with Product teams to build and enhance the tools and systems needed to drive your vision.

This role requires someone who is flexible, creative, biased for action, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable leading and working with multiple teams. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successful project ownership, use of customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities, and ability to clearly document and present their vision to leadership. Demonstrated strong management skills for coaching a team of skilled marketers and driving their individual successes and personal growth will be key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:
· Develop outbound messaging strategies for all customer lifecycles in Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Music, and the Download Store, as well as Amazon Music’s biggest marketing and promotional initiatives, including Black Friday and Prime Day.
· Work with and contribute to multi-channel best practices, including interfacing with social, paid search, mobile, email, and other key channel teams.
· Compile, analyze, and present performance metrics, identifying opportunities.
· Write business reviews and represent business in leadership meetings.
· Innovate on the mobile messaging customer experience.
· Facilitate strategies for automation, working with the marketing team, technical teams, and across retail teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree
· 5+ years of relevant work experience in email and push messaging
· Knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot inefficient, unreliable processes
· Ability to deliver on multiple deadlines and prioritize compulsively as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools and ability to learn new tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated creativity and judgment to develop solutions
· Intuition for customer communication voice; adept at marketing copywriting
· Basic knowledge and experience with web authoring tools and willingness to learn both HTML and XML code if necessary in order to enhance or improve email content
· Experience managing large scale marketing programs and writing customer-facing content
· Experience working in the music industry including a knowledge of current trends and history in music, the music industry, and digital music
· MBA degree
· Knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write or edit queries in order to mine the data needed to measure results and inform decisions.
