We are looking for an experienced Media Manager to support our marketing community to drive salience and help sell through award winning bought, owned, and earned media communications.

This role will have the ability to influence Diageo Europe’s £90 million media budget, supporting our marketing teams with comms planning and delivering best in class digital execution.

The role
This role will interface with our brand teams across all European hubs (London, Amsterdam, Dublin, Madrid, Warsaw) and have a deep knowledge of the media landscape across all European territories.

This role will have responsibility for consulting with brand teams to drive the best ever communications plans for Diageo Europe while supporting brand teams across digital execution. We are looking for a media specialist who has the ability to influence brands in the communications process, lead the training agenda and be skilled in supporting functional digital channels.

The role sits in Diageo’s Culture, Media & Futures Team, a function that supports our entire brand portfolio across Europe. This role is responsible for actively supporting a number of exciting brands in building breakthrough comms and driving performance of our digital media plans; partnering with our brand teams, our media agency and other agency partners. This role will requires expertise in both comms planning and digital execution as digital plays a pivotal role in our European media plans.

Top Accountabilities
The type of person we are looking for is passionate about brand communication with solid understanding of how to design integrated campaigns and skilled in digital execution. This role will partner with our brands and media agencies to drive excellence in comms planning and digital execution. Tasks include co-ownership of the annual comms planning process, supporting the brand teams in building fully connected media plans using smart data.

This role will also unlock value for Europe by supporting key digital work streams including programmatic, search, and ad verification, and ensuring that learnings from end to end performance measurement – including econometrics – are applied. The role will be working very closely with other functional teams internally, such as Culture & Influencer, Digital Commerce, Center of Digital Excellence, Innovation and Shopper functions.

Qualifications and experience required
The ideal candidate has 6 years+ experience in communication and media planning and a solid digital background – either on the agency or client side. The candidate has strong expertise in digital and understands how technology and data can fuel consumer centric comms & media solutions, from insights generation all the way down to execution and campaign optimization. They have a good sense of cultural nuances across Europe and a good understanding of the European media landscape. We are looking for someone with a growth mind-set, who’s creative in problem solving, has the ability to multitask, has good attention to detail, is a good communicator and highly collaborative.
