HR Benefits Administrator


Centurion, South Africa

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Benefits Administrator to manage all employee benefit programs and general HR administration from leaves of absence to retirement programmes. This role will be of utmost importance as the accuracy of processing and distribution of employee information is beneficial to the entire organisation and business operating tools.

Specific duties include:
Manage the full administration function associated with new appointments and terminations
Orients new employees by providing orientation information packs; reviewing company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information; explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs
Provide consultation to employees regarding employee benefits, including eligibility, statutory leave balances and general queries
Manage Employee Wellness Days
Ensure the company’s compliance with all Company policies
Act as liaison between HR, payroll, vendors and employees to provide support as it relates to benefit policies and procedures
Stay up to date with all changes related to employee benefits. Educate the HR teams of such changes
Manage the maintenance and storage of employee benefit records and accurate employee data entry in HRIS system and administration of benefits enrolment, retirement and other transactions
Assist with reconciliation and audit of monthly billings
Assume responsibility of timely payment to service providers
Draft letters requested by HR
Responsible for Quality Assurance of HR activities
Assist the HR Team as and when required

Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within an HR Team
Minimum 3 year’s experience managing employee benefits, employee orientation and terminations
Personal attributes, qualities or competencies:
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Outstanding verbal, written and multi-tasking skills with a high evel of interpersonal skills
Experience in Microsoft Office products and internet savviness
Experience in Oracle E-Business Suit
Attention to detail
Team player
Reliable and dependable
Excellent people skills

Preferred Qualifications
N Dip or B-Tech Human Resources would be prefered
