Linear Infrastructures, Senior Assistant Designer


Warsaw, Poland

Job Summary
Global Delivery Service (GDS) based in Warsaw is actively seeking creative and highly talented Linear Infrastructures Senior Assistant Designer.

The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
Assignments usually include one or more of the following: calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific narrow area of assignments.
Drafting complex drawings in 2D and 3D (including BIM).
Preparation of drawings at each stage of the design process (Feasibility studies, Preliminary design, Approval Design, Detailed design)
Preparing geometric design of linear infrastructures.
Preparing Bill of Quantities.
Setting standards and procedures for CAD and BIM works to be undertake by the Linear Infrastructures team.
Working on small projects or portions of larger projects, with work being reviewed by senior or appropriately experienced engineer.
Assigning and coordinating tasks to other technical or administrative staff, mainly related to drafting and bridges and structures modelling.
May train less experienced staff in preparation of drawing and graphic elements.
Comply with statutory, project and AECOM-specific health and safety requirements.
Based from Warsaw, the availability to travel will be required to go to other GDC offices and international clients’ offices

Specific Skills :
Working knowledge on geometric design (roads and rail alignment) and road equipment design (barriers, road signs, line marking, etc.); etc.
Proven track record managing and/or coordinating CAD/BIM teams.
Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD, Microstation.
Proven experience working in BIM (Revit, Civil3D, AECOsim, etc.) will be considered favorably.
Working experience in various software packages for geometric design of new linear infrastructures such as: GEOPAK, INROADS, OPENROADS, CIVIL 3D, etc.
Fluent in English and Polish (oral and written)

Minimum Requirements
Min. 2 years of experience in transportation projects; preferably roads and highways.
Experience working in the North America region will be considered favorably
Working knowledge and understanding of the external environment that influences success

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor in Civil Engineering from a recognised University
