Content Acquisition Manager

We are seeking a digital content licensing manager within the Prime Video team, with responsibility for managing and expanding the content provider network. The individual in this role will drive key analysis that helps build on our provider relationships with major EMEA content providers, television networks and cable brands. Improving customer experience on Amazon will also be a part of the role, by delivering comprehensive selection and a superior customer experience for Amazon customers. The Content Acquisition Manager will also be responsible for working with global content providers to negotiate licensing agreements and secure unique content that we discover for our customers to watch.

Key areas of responsibility will be:

· Identify new, cutting edge local content opportunities and partnerships.
· Negotiate licensing agreements with content providers to secure high demand content for our customers.
· Work closely with content providers to maximize the performance of titles on the service and negotiate the best terms for our customers.
· Work closely with Video team leaders to develop new services and product offerings.
· Analyze data to drive improvements in acquisitions strategy.
· Develop and document acquisition plans, metrics and goals for senior management.
· Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Amazon’s relationships with its digital content suppliers and internal/ external stakeholders.
· Understanding and delivering against selection and pricing goals, monitoring and reporting service functionality, and automated feedback to business teams.


· Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
· Proven ability negotiating complex multi territory licensing or major studio agreements in high pressure environments.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to enthusiastically adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment.


· Content licensing and/or major studio distribution experience.
· Innate understanding of the EMEA entertainment landscape, the major studios and their key decision makers.
· Proficiency in any major European languages a plus!
