The taste:
The Portfolio Junior Manager plays a critical role in the day-to- day development and administration of the internal Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) tool called Planview. The role is responsible for central ownership and enhancement of the tool, issue resolution for the Super User community and Portfolio Leads across all areas and regions globally.

How to serve:
Have a general understanding of IT systems and project lifecycle management, preferably with a portfolio management tool. A key attribute of the role holder is self-motivation and being pro-active.
Understands the complexion of the portfolio around within the regional areas’ ability to deliver as well as the associated business outcomes and tracking of these outcomes moving forward.
Actively analyzes and manages change within the Portfolio and providing more in-depth support/input into the central Portfolio Management and Reporting Process
Prepare decision documentation and analysis results for the Portfolio Finance Manager as well as the BRM leadership teams
Regularly monitors data accuracy around portfolio and identifies and drives actions to improve data accuracy
Manages portfolio related information & coordinates and completes monthly review sessions to support the development and review of the rolling DBS pipeline as well as BRM service area in line with annual objectives, and financial/technical/capacity constraints
Identify risks and opportunities, suggest improvement or remediation actions to take
Works with BRM LTs and Finance Leads on the portfolio submissions and periodic portfolio reporting
Looks for opportunities to streamline and improve reporting activities in the portfolio process
Conducts analysis and prepared inputs into GDBS monthly performance reviews and quarterly 18 months rolling forecast reviews
Conducts targeted portfolio analysis and reports for regional portfolio teams e.g. Benefits and operational KPI’s, Payback calculations
Regularly reviews selected projects from a Benefits management perspective. Identifies gaps and inaccurate data elements and follows up with related stakeholders to action and resolve these

University/College degree in business
Ideally 5+ years of experience working in a project environment
Excellent English knowledge
Ability to prioritize and manage expectations of several stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong time planning skills with great follow through.
Strong use of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint
Self-motivator and ability to manage own schedule and personal drive to take ownership and deliver solution
Knowledge of a PPM tool is a big plus
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Highly organized with strong written and interpersonal communications skills
Process improvement, Project management, Business consulting, is an advantage
