Head of Enterprise Sales, Amazon Business

Amazon Business is dedicated to innovating on behalf of business customers and we are focused on building the world’s most customer-centric B2B marketplace. We are seeking an experienced, proven professional to lead our Enterprise Sales team in the UK. Amazon Business builds solutions to enable business customers to discover, research, and purchase products from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Since our launch in the UK in April 2017, we have built a strong customer base that ranges from Sole Traders to FTSE100 companies and who operate in a wide range of industries.

We are looking for a leader of the Amazon Business Enterprise Account Management team with proven experiences in hiring and developing high-performing sales teams, developing enterprise sales strategies and detailed execution plans. The experienced leader will design and implement the go-to-market segment strategy for enterprise account management in UK and will work closely with product management and engineering and other Amazon teams to implement a strategy that is coordinated across all Amazon Business initiatives. In addition, the leader will develop and implement operating practices, processes, and metrics to track both sales inputs and outputs. As a senior leader on the European Amazon Business team, this individual will also be expected to play an important role in shaping the overall long-term Amazon Business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
· Hire, develop, lead and inspire a growing team comprised of Enterprise Account Managers focused on customer acquisition and spend adoption
· Be a leader of leaders – responsible for growth and development of front-line managers and senior acct managers
· Coach managers to understand, in detail, relationships between key activities and desired outputs
· Constantly strive to raise the bar in terms of talent, execution, process design, goals, and incentives
· Define the overall enterprise account management strategy for Amazon Business UK
· Partner with Category, Seller and Product Management teams to provide customer perspective and engagement opportunities, as well as customer-driven product improvement ideas
· Take an ownership role in the continued build-out and documentation of infrastructure and process of acquiring and on-boarding Amazon Business customers, balancing strong and standard execution with the desire to invent & simplify
· Present results in weekly, monthly, and quarterly Business Review meetings to key internal stakeholders and executives


· University degree required.
· Proven experience in hiring and leading sales teams focused on acquiring and managing enterprise customers.
· Strong sales and/or operations experience, including front line and second level leadership roles
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
· Experience working with senior management in large organizations
· Proven experience working with large, enterprise-level customers in an account management role
· Demonstrated ability to analyse market opportunities, engage and negotiate with customers and define new areas of innovation
· Demonstrated ability to influence others.
· Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems.
· High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to think and react in a high energy, fast paced environment.
· Proven track record of success in roles of increasing responsibility.
· Proven experience in using CRM tools


· MBA, analytical qualification preferred.
· Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
