DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a world-class technical Customer Success Manager (CSM) to support a new large AWS customer account. This is a new, challenging, and highly visible position to be based in in the United Kingdom. You will help the customer through major application migrations to the AWS platform over several years. Migrations will involve many internal AWS constituents from nearly all service teams as well as other teams from AWS including Support, Professional Services, Marketing and others. This position will help AWS exceed customer expectations in part by ensuring that key stakeholders are on task with the project deliverables. Deep technical knowledge and PM skills are essential to be successful in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to work closely with sales, solutions architecture, the customers, AWS software development and service teams to execute a strategy. You will collaborate with the product teams to help AWS deliver the best solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will contribute to strong business cases for project prioritization and investment. You will also contribute to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and to encourage risk-taking behavior.

Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities. You will have a deep understanding of product design and implementation details and will successfully represent the technical team to senior leadership. You will also facilitate the customer relationship. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and contribute to secure robust solutions. You will evangelize AWS services and influence customers to help allocate appropriate resources for adopting them. You should not only be passionate about delivering great customer service and help deploying AWS solutions, but should also be obsessed with contributing to the day-to-day management of the success of customers migration to AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Technical Customer Success Management experience in a related industry
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
· Hands-on experience managing efforts in Windows/Unix environments, distributed systems and/or developing large-scale web applications as well as strong understanding of database technology including Oracle and MS SQL Server
· Experience with current web technologies
· Proven experience working with senior leadership and experience defining and delivering on a product roadmap
· Fluency in English and Dutch is essential, other EU languages are highly beneficial

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Direct experience implementing AWS services
· Exceptional written and verbal communication
· Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
· A proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
