Email Marketing Executive

Book Depository is seeking a passionate and unique Email Marketing Executive to engage with our community of book lovers throughout the world. You will be responsible for developing and executing targeted communications and promotions via the email marketing programme and be challenged to excite and engage over 5 million email subscribers in over 130 countries.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including Marketers, Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Content Managers, Designers and Developers to plan and execute Email campaigns, including defining the target customer segment, selecting the relevant books, defining the right messages and developing engaging creative to encourage customers to open, click and convert via our Emails. The role is based in Central London.
To succeed in the role you will have excellent creative thinking and analytical skills, plus an eye for detail. You will be hands-on, with a positive, entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to make an impact for Book Depository internationally.

This is a part-time role for 20 hours a week.

Key responsibilities:
· Support Marketing Manager in developing performance-driven communications and promotions featured on email, social media and website
· Execute engaging content and promotions targeting relevant segments of Book Depository customers, including new book releases, vendor co-operative marketing and deals
· Work with designers to develop breakthrough creative, with input from the Marketing Manager
· Improve the visibility of the performance of marketing emails by diving deep into campaign results and presenting the highlights to stakeholders
· Optimise email campaign messaging and targeting through frequent testing and data analysis, documenting the results and sharing best practices
· Identify opportunities for process efficiency and automation in the marketing team, and work cross-functionally to implement them


· Experience executing marketing emails with the ability to measure and improve campaign performance
· Experience in working in a marketing team in an e-commerce business
· Highly creative with proven ability to develop and manage engaging and original campaigns
· Strong analytical skills, with experience using tools to evaluate campaign metrics, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
· The ability to think on your feet and make smart decisions, coupled with excellent planning, prioritisation and time-management skills


· Bachelor’s Degree or MBA
· A passion for books with the ability to identify and leverage exciting trends
· Experience using email marketing systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
· Experience using analytics tools such as Tableau
· Fluent in Spanish.
