Your Mission:
Lead the professional development of Schneider Electric's technical community (employees and Ecoexpert partners) to ensure competency levels rise to the highest standard in the industry.
Lead the development and implementation of engineering best practices across the UK&I Ecobuilding organisation to maximise efficiency at any stage (sales, tendering, projects execution and services).
Continously strengthen engineering capabilities, processes and standards to further Schneider's competitive advantage in the industry.

Your responsibilities:
1. PLAN, IMPLEMENT and EVALUATE learning and development activities to ensure a continuous improvement in the skills, knowledge, behaviours and attitude required to achieve business success and foster the Company’s core values. This includes all health and safety, product, sales and other courses that may be of benefit for our EcoB staff.
2. CREATE an environment that encourages continuous learning and development where all employees take responsibility for their own plan.
MAINTAIN an updated database of traning and competency (e.g. in MyLearning Link)
COORDINATE training activity with all the regions to ensure consistency of development and skills.
3. DEVELOP and OVERSEE the Engineering Development Program, the EcoB apprentice program, the EcoB Graduate programme and all the engineering initiatives (e.g. World Class Project Leadership).
4. MANAGE the training academy and team members.
ACCOUNTABLE for the overall P&L of the training department, staff recruitment and development.
5. COORDINATE and OVERSEE the development and implementation of engineering best practices across the UK&I organisation. Liaise with global engineering team, quality and other departments, IMPLEMENT best practices in the regions and closely MONITOR adoption and improvements.
6. PROMOTE novel engineering solutions, new offers and a culture of continuous innovation and improvement in the regions. Foster collaboration across regions and teams (e.g. projects, systems and field services).

About you:
Educated at MEng Level - desirable, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering - essential
Proficient in HVAC applications and control, CEng status within a leading professional body (e.g. CIBSE)
Working knowledge of the BMS/HVAC industry
Recognised expert in the industry
