Our Specification Consultants work with consulting engineers and designers to develop solutions for their building power management system needs. They engage early to identify the critical objectives and align technical solutions to these objectives leveraging the breadth of Schneider Electric architectures, software and systems.

Due to significant growth over the last 12 months we are growing our Power Solutions sales team.

Power Solutions team are market leaders in LV electrical distribution, power metering and power monitoring & control software. Our EcoStruxure Power architecture differentiates us as the leader in critical power end markets within the context of a shift towards digital and IoT.


We are looking for someone to join our team who can demonstrate expertise in 3 core areas; Trusted Advisor, Change Driver and Value Proposer.

Trusted Advisor
Thorough Knowledge of energy/power meters, PLC's, monitoring software, LV control and a broad understanding of building electrical architectures (LV/MV, PDU's, UPS, Generators)
The ability to develop a wide degree of understanding of the Schneider Power Solutions offers and complimentary wider offers (i.e. Power Quality, BEMS) and has a good understanding of routes to market.
Develops relationships with consultancy business development managers to enrich their overall offer.

Change Driver
Understands key/emerging market/industry trends and aligns them to the consultants business requirements or specific projects.
Promotes change in consultant led opportunities on electrical design. (Working closely with Electrical specifiers and IoT leaders)
Endorsed and respected as an Industry thought leader, attending and speaking at regional/national industry events.

Value Proposer
Understands the client/project requirements from multiple angles including technically, programme and commercial.
Competent PME/SCADA system designer and can develop a Schneider Power monitoring and/or controls specification to meet/exceed customer requirements
Proficient presenter and able to articulate the value propositions to the consultant/end user/contractor of a proposed solution.

Develop and sustain 'trusted advisor' relationships with regional M&E consultants
Through trusted advisor relationships educate consultants on Schneider Power Solutions value propositions and positioning of EcoStruxure Power in their specifications. Develop specifications for new customers/sites
Become an industry thought leader and called upon by all Consultants and M&E Contractors and be known widely as a specialist in this field
Develop Continuous Professional Development (CPD) modules and deliver them to Consultant and Engineering community contributing to the knowledge base of the industry. Write blogs and industry articles to share knowledge and position our company in the industry
Speak at Industry Events and Seminars both external and organized by Schneider Electric to advise advancements in technology, engineering standards and emerging trends in our industry
Integrate market intelligence and needs into R&D and Marketing process to drive better Schneider roadmaps and technologies for the future. Engage with global R&D specialists and marketing professionals to feedback UK requirements and emerging ideas for developing competitive and differentiated solutions
Be seen as a key presenter of the technical offer and be able to drive demonstrations utilising PME/SCADA software and tools as appropriate. You should also be able to proactively develop existing demo tools and materials to make it relevant to our current offers
As a technical specialist, challenge multiple function power system design i.e. billing, energy reports, automation, event notification, 3rd party integration
You will be able to articulate any design changes that you have influenced and relate them back to increased value to the opportunity stakeholders including consultant, contractors, developers, owners and end users.
