We are now recruiting a dynamic and forward thinking Capability and Engagement Manager, who will have the responsibility of improving the level of talent and employee effectiveness in the Brewery.

As Capability and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for:

Capability Development & Training

The design, delivery and measurable success of the people development strategy. Ensuring that this complements the brewery strategic direction.
Developing and implementing all learning and development related plans, working with managers to identify individual and team related training needs.
Working innovatively with external partners to commission/develop appropriate training and interventions. Sourcing and developing specialist third party providers as required.
Manage the training processes to ensure that all training is tracked and reported on a regular basis and that technical training documentation follows Diageo’s standards and is maintained as appropriate the systems.
Ensure that all technical trainers are qualified in ‘Train the trainer’ and assessment.
Be an expert and point of contact for the Diageo Academy suite.
Work with the Operations Team to develop the rosters to allow training to occur.

Communications & Engagement

Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers.
Manage employee communications for the brewery and ensure that they are planned and delivered in line with the communications plan.
Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
Co-ordinate Yammer activity for the site ensuring that all opportunities to build site reputation are availed of and support others with scribing their content.
Manage the internal communication response to crisis situations.

To be a Success in this role you will have:

-3 - 5 years’ experience in production roles, including brewing or small pack line management. Brewing / Engineering background.
-Excellent coaching, training and facilitating skills.
-Confident and effective communicator at all levels of the business.
-Demonstrates challenge in a positive and proactive manner that builds credibility and effectiveness across all areas of the business.
-Understanding of the principles of change management.
-Good Project and Program Management skills, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
-Ability to influence strongly at all levels of the organisation.
-Standard office and computer skills, including social media.

Would be great to have:
-An accredited training qualification such as the IITD Certificate in Training and Development.
-An accredited internal communications qualification such as the Certificate in Internal Communications (PRII).
