Head of Digital Commerce - Data Analytics & Insights

Our European commerce team are responsible for driving and influencing every online & omnichannel sale of our brands both on sites we own and partner’s sites (trade and consumer facing). Our purpose as a team is to embed Digital Commerce into the DNA of the business, delivering accelerated growth. In order to achieve this, we must be the BEST at catering to the needs of shoppers that live online.

Purpose of Role:
To create and lead a best-in-class data analytics and insights team, partnering multiple business units and our customers, to drive incremental business performance through shaping & optimising marketing and sales activities based on the power of data and insights. Your focus will be improving our commercial performance both on sites we own and partner sites and creating a high performing, talented team of blackbelt data scientists.

Top Accountabilities:

Skills and Experience

Comfortable operating in a structured & unstructured data led world, familiar with data lakes and fluent in using analytical tools such as tableau, google analytics, excel
Worked in information-dense, customer-facing industries (FMCG, traditional or online retailing, retail financial services, wireless, etc.)
Multi-channel experience – familiar with both in-store/branch and online analytics
Multiple years in digital analytics:
Fluent in D2C onsite analytics & metrics, understanding what drives performance and what is a red herring.
Worked with 3rd party data sources, combining multiple data sets, creating automated processes, to produce a cohesive picture of performance and derive insights and recommendations
Mined data, applying analytical rigor to complex business issues and translate insights into financially viable marketing & sales initiatives creating a competitive edge
Comfortable leveraging your experience to drive hypothesis led analysis, developing key business recommendations
Designed and executed pilot programs to empirically test new business concepts (A/B testing)
Developed and presented communications to senior management both internally and externally
Highly skilled in strategic problem solving especially in situations of high ambiguity
History of recruiting, growing high performing teams
