Business Analyst

Amazon is seeking an experienced and seasoned business/reporting analyst to be the expert for all management as well as operational analytics for the site. S/he will be an expert in data analytics and partner with the global Business Intelligence team to provide meaningful reports and actionable analysis to the local management team. The Business Analyst must have a passion for data efficiency and accuracy as well as be able to effectively communicate and train stakeholders and line managers on the use of specific reporting tools. Specifically, the Business Analyst will:

· Examine and evaluate purpose and content of business reports to develop new, or improve existing format, use, and control to improve report content and completeness of information presented
· Create reports using the existing self-service platforms such as OBIEE, Swift, PAC explorer etc. (Necessary training will be provided)
· Review reports to determine basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report
· Confers with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements
· Perform daily, weekly or monthly report generation for assigned teams
· Analyze the data extracted, draw conclusions and present actionable insights to managers that they can focus on
· Be on top of emerging data/analysis challenges operations teams are facing and keep Tech teams informed on them
· Operate as first level of support for data requests from ADS, address them using existing toolsets.
· Liaise with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to learn and build more complex data sets
· Create SOPs or instructions concerning generation, completion and distribution of reports
· Develop power users of Business Intelligence and data in the operations by providing training.

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
· Experience in working with Excel and database languages

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
· Strong Excel skills and experience in SQL and other script languages, ideally with knowledge of VBA.
· Pro-active, delivery focused with a hands-on, can-do attitude. Demonstrating the ability to think creatively and independently to solve problems and complete projects
· Passion for developing and analysing large, complex data sets and converting them into information that drive business decisions
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively across technical and non technical stakeholders
· Demonstrate a strong curiosity to learn and develop; understanding and utilising new reporting tools.
