We are seeking a Principal, Emerging Locales who will coordinate our supply expansion efforts into new locales as Amazon expands its retail presence across the globe. In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the next generation of Amazon’s advertising programs by working with key advertising partners across the globe, and shape our go-to-market strategies to successfully launch our ad businesses.

We are looking for a candidate who can act as an ambassador for Amazon/A9 globally, partner closely with internal teams across WW Ads (including Amazon Media groups), and define local supply requirements to help us launch our ad businesses in new locales. In this role, you will:

· Define our go-to-market supply efforts for emerging locales
· Define and iterate on a playbook to launch our various ad programs on and offsite with an eye towards improving efficiency and reducing time to launch
· Gather and communicate local requirements to shape our global advertising strategy
· Represent Amazon/A9 with local teams, liaising across retail orgs, centralized technology teams, and localized sales teams
· Identify key supply relationships with leading SSPs and publishers.
· Partner with Amazon Media Group and other local Amazon teams to identify advantageous advertising opportunities for Amazon and our third party advertisers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelors degree in Marketing
· Proven experience growing a programmatic business
· Experience managing a team
· Deep understanding of online advertising ecosystem and market dynamics, including DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs.
· Proven experience of working directly with customers and/or external partners and closing strategic partnerships.
· Familiar with web, mobile and video revenue and yield optimisation strategies.
· An effective communicator; an ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
· Proactive attitude with excellent project, organisational and time management skills.
· Experience in working within an international role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working with large ad tech players and media owners.
· Track record of organization-level influence
· Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee international expansion efforts
· Technically competent with a strong understanding of online advertising technologies
· Track record of successful online advertising and media buying to meet/exceed customer acquisition and engagement goals
· Proven ability to form complex, strategic partnerships with industry leading organizations
· Strong persuasion skills with ability to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
· Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical work to get things done quickly
· Data driven and “quantitative” mentality with an ability to back up ideas with facts or examples
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to speak effectively to any audience
· Entrepreneurial with an inherent sense of urgency and get things done quickly while maintaining high standards
· Languages are a strong plus.
