Payroll Finance Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Finance Specialist to work in our HR Services team based in Telford. This is a key role within HR Services UK and Ireland Team reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, working closely with the Payroll and HR Services Team and other key stakeholders by providing specialist advice and guidance.

The position will have exposure to a wide range of payroll Finance specialist areas and have the opportunity to take ownership of these whilst adopting a proactive and efficient approach. The key objective is to deliver, efficient and timely end to end payroll services with regards to your specialist area whilst engaging with Global Teams and Local teams to ensure specialist areas are aligned to business needs whilst applying a continuous improvement ethos to ultimately increase customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include managing the service delivery of the specialist payroll finance tasks for both the UK and Ireland payrolls, which will include Reconciliations, Pension reporting, Control accounts, Recharges, End of Year reporting. You will work with the Payroll Manager and HR Project Lead on any payroll related projects, i.e. integrations and acquisitions, providing advice and support on specialist policy and procedure across the business.

You will have joint responsibility for the UK Shares Schemes as LTI correspondent, therefore previous experience in this area is highly desirable. You will play a pivotal role in the implementation of global and local systems, specifically understanding requirements from a payroll, compensation and benefits perspective.

Your in-depth knowledge of payroll process delivery within an HR Shared Services organisation, significant Payroll finance experience and exposure to complex specialist topics. In addition, you will thrive in fast paced, results oriented environment and be able to navigate your way around a complex, matrix structured global organisation.

Your interpersonal skills will be second to none, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organisation with a passion for delivering customer excellence at all times.
A recognised payroll and/or finance qualification would be beneficial.

The ability to work in a fast-paced, results based environment is essential together with the ability to navigate a complex, matrix structure within a global business. You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering customer excellence.
