Your role

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our Partner Retail Group in the Accommodation Segment Team, as a Business Development Manager, covering Yorkshire and the North East of England.

Joining an already very successful Team, that covers Housebuilders, Social Housing, Student Accommodation and Modular Buildings, the role will be to focus on Key End Users/Developers, Consultants and Contractors, to ensure that specification for Schneider Electric is gained, and then maintained throughout the project lifecycle, and for future projects.

Key activities include:

-The generation of a Customer portfolio that will deliver a medium to long term strong pipeline of new and sustainable future business.

-Create relationships at C level within this Customer portfolio.

-Accurate reporting via the Company’s CRM tool (Salesforce.com) of Customer visits, new opportunities, and Project tracking through to order placement.

-Build internal relationships though daily liaison and information sharing with the other Schneider Electric Sales Teams that operate both inside, and outside the Geography.

The territory not only has some key and important Customers, but has significant potential opportunities for future growth.

About you: Qualifications & Experience

You will be self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and together with a highly matrixed Sales and Product Marketing Team.

It’s essential you already have an understanding of the End User/Developer, Consultant and Contractor Customer areas; perhaps as a sales person, perhaps in a technical support or tendering capacity.

Ideally, you’ll have an Electrical qualification and a proven track record in sales within an electrical industry background.

You will have a broad knowledge of all aspects of the Residential Sector, Electrical Wiring Devices, Distribution Consumer Units and Intelligent Home and Building Control solutions.
