Innovation Commercialisation Manager (Maternity Cover)

The next 12-18 months will be the most exciting months for Innovation in Diageo Ireland ever! As an Innovation Commercialisation Manager you hold the key to growth or decline. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for personal and business growth to cover a maternity period of 12 months.

Innovation is leading the growth agenda for Ireland, with a mission to launch an exciting range of consumer driven innovations that will lead us to our growth performance ambition. You will need to be ready to hit the ground running, as from day 1 you will be working with the On Trade leadership team and Marketing Innovation teams to commercialise and lead the brilliant execution of these new innovation projects as well as being guardian of our current innovation portfolio. You will to bring to life the excitement of our innovation agenda through inspiring leadership and influencing skills within project teams, Global Brand Teams, and the Irish senior leadership group.

There are 3 core accountabilities. The On Trade ICM is accountable for delivering the stretching AOP (volume and financial accountability) and managing performance for the channel through the monthly business cycle. You will also lead and own the brilliant execution and tracking of these projects. Lastly you will then lead the development and commercialisation of the new pipeline of ideas. The ICM is part of the wider Customer Marketing team where you will work in a high performing environment with a group of focused and talented individuals. This is a role ideal for someone with great planning and organisational skills, good with analytics and knows how to get things done.

Skills/experience required:
Strong commercial experience –with a proven track record in business delivery
Ability to work with ambiguity and at pace with multiple projects.
Polished and engaging presentation and selling skills – You must have sufficient gravitas to present to and influence key customers at a senior level internally and externally.
Execution Excellence: You must be able to manage execution of plans brilliantly through other people and teams, demonstrate smart KPI setting, clear measurement controls along with execution insight and course correction.
Influencing Skills – You must be able to build great relationships and collaboration across the business hierarchy and within channels to be able to move with pace. You must be able to lead and inspire the senior management teams to the biggest possibility and align to course corrections where required.
Resilience & Emotional Energy – You need to be able to motivate and energise yourself in the face of challenges and adversity to find ways forward.
