Job Summary

Our Birmingham Project Management business unit continues to grow to service the Public and Private sector where it has successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some of the largest projects and programs in the industry. As a direct result if this growth it is currently seeking a full time Project Manager with the following requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will be expected to work with Senior Project Manager to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.

The role would cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception and business case development, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.

As PM you should possess the skills and experience to lead a team on a technically complex project between typically £5m and £20m, and for developing collaborative relationships with our clients and other team members.

Day to day client point of contact for projects.

Manage design teams and project teams.

Manage and mentor junior project managers to deliver the PM service efficiently and effectively.

Successful delivery of projects with minimum supervision leading to happy clients and repeat business.

Minimum Requirements

Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.

Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects.

Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion.

Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.

Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.

Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree
Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
Prince 2 or MSP experience
Good Understanding of contracts (NEC3, JCT, etc…)
CSR card
