Manager, Alexa Content

DESCRIPTION
Do you consider yourself a little peculiar? Are you looking for an opportunity to speak to customers? Do you have an insatiable thirst for knowledge? The Amazon Alexa team is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented Content Manager to help enrich the speech experience for customers using Alexa-enabled products such as Amazon Echo.

This role will be responsible for creating a scalable model for best-in-class content creation using internal and external resources, including building a reporting structure for evaluating the impact on the Alexa Experience and forecasting budgets requirements. This person will also be in charge of developing requirements for new tools, functionality and processed to support content creation and manage the UK content team. You must have first-class written and verbal communication skills as well as judgement to create delightful, engaging, and witty content. Additionally, you must be able to juggle multiple projects and priorities, with high attention to detail, in a fast-moving environment. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, voice and graphical user interface designers, marketing managers, and software development teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· BA/BS Required
· Demonstrable experience in consumer facing content production management experience
· Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines
· Experiencing using customer insights and data to deeply understand the customer base
· Demonstrated history of strong customer focus and understanding of UK consumers
· Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
· Native level proficiency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with both business and technical teams.
· Proficient using CMS tools and other content creation and management tools
· Problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
· Personal initiative, flexibility, intellectual curiosity
· Can provide examples of leadership through influence and partnership, without direct authority over resources
· Hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mindset, with a strong personality and ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization.
· Experience in launching new businesses / focusing on process improvement is a plus.
