Education Architect

Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking an Education Architect to be based at Croydon.
As an Architect you will be working on new projects across the education sectors.

Job Details:
Working across all RIBA Stages including bidding, concept design, project delivery, design assurance and working with clients, contractors and other architectural practices
Provide and supervise technological and technical input within the Architectural team.
Supervise the architectural team in preparing robust and exemplar project information.
Carry assignments to completion with considerable independence in accordance with project objectives, professional standards, policies and procedures.
Specific Skills Required:
Confident project runner with proven experience in designing schools and the ability to develop a scheme from RIBA stage 1 onwards.
Demonstrate experience of working on a range of education sector projects; including; Primary, Secondary and SEN schemes.
Expert knowledge of current education design guidance including; the Building Bulletins, Faculties Output Specification and ESFA Schedule of Accommodation.
Experience of working with a range of education sector clients including; the ESFA, Multi-Academy Trusts and Local Authorities.
Experience of planning and leading engagement workshops with educational stakeholders and ability to develop and refine an educational design brief.
Confidence and ability in taking part/leading design and client meetings and presentations.
Excellent design and graphical representation skills.
Live BIM project experience (REVIT).

Minimum Requirements

Proven related Architecture experience.
Experience of working on large scale projects, preferably including site experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Architecture Degree qualified.
