Assistant Production Control Manager

Job Summary

URS / AECOM has an immediate opening for an Assistant Production Control Manager in Kuwait.

Manage and facilitate all aspects of production and material control. Supervise, Coordinate and oversee the activities within production planning and material control, work effectively with program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure that the team is able to meet customer requirements in a highly dynamic environment. The Assistant Production Control Manager is responsible for production control functions under this effort (i.e., Master Schedule, work order management, AOAP, ARIMS, and reporting)

1. Establish sequences and time frames for manufacturing operations - scheduling of equipment and personnel - in order to meet production requirements.
2. Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production requirements.
3. Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to multiple programs and products.
4. Hands-on development and maintenance of production schedules includes advising on capability to support delivery requirements for upcoming and proposed efforts.
5. Supervise and coordinate changes in scheduling to accommodate special requests and /or emergency conditions
6. Establish operational priorities when necessary.
7. Coordinates material movement between supply inventories and production areas.
8. Supervise material and supply inventories through the MRP systems. Identifies raw materials and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules. Confirms material supply and demands.
9. Supervise and oversee the labor resources and short-term capacity requirements from engineering plans and production specifications.
10. Prepare and maintain, on a weekly basis, an overall master schedule, reflecting conflicts between labor, material and project schedules.
11. On a weekly basis, advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and service are provided as needed.
12. Together with manufacturing, Department, and Program Managers, responsible for 'make or buy' decisions based on scheduling and delivery requirements.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Office Automation, (Microsoft Office), AWARDS, Must possess a working knowledge of tools and equipment used in repairing and maintaining equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Operates non-tactical vehicles as required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements would be considered.

Minimum Requirements

Education/Certifications: Two year's related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 8+ years of related PC/MC supervisory experience.
Experience:10 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in the applicable supply & maintenance management. The Assistant Production Control Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective execution of the function. The Assistant Production Control Manager must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized.

Skills:
The Assistant Production Control Manager must have experience with the applicable US financial management systems and in depth knowledge of US Army Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) to include the US Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), Logistics Modernization Program, and Global Combat Service and Support - Army (GCSS-Army) and US Army readiness reporting (USR).
