Sad news: IWD 2020 Best Practice Competition cancelled

The annual IWD Best Practice Competition that last year saw 300+ entries showcasing activity as useful guidance and inspiration for further groups, will not be run in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many groups need to focus on more pressing areas right now. Plus some groups couldn't run activity as planned, and celebrating gatherings in the current climate is not suitable.

For groups fortunate to be in countries where it was still possible to proceed with IWD events, there was considerable and impressive activity and much best practice and innovation was observed.

Thankfully many of the further IWD 2020 competitions were run - from Best IWD Cakes to Typography, Street Art and more.
