Bazaarvoice's generosity program has been around since the inception of the company. Bazaarvoice employees strive to share, give without expectations, and connect to communities, both those defined by borders and those defined by interests.
As part of this program, Bazaarvoice hosts an annual b:generous week dedicated to global volunteering efforts. Traditionally, the company organizes group opportunities to volunteer during this week, with no limit as to how many volunteering opportunities employees can sign up for.
The week also sees an employee donation matching program that employees use to make an even bigger financial impact for the non-profit organizations about which they are passionate.
Targeting impact with four pillars
For Bazaarvoice, the strength and support of the community is vital – for success, for happiness, for progress.
This is why Bazaarvoice has created four pillars around its b:generous program to target efforts and deepen impact. The program is focusing on one of these pillars every quarter:
- Youth First: Child and youth education, health and related support
- Second Chances: Refugee and domestic violence victim education and services
- Loved the World We Live In: Climate change, clean water and clean energy
- Add Hope and Reduce Barriers: Housing and basic needs for the homeless or the elderly
Each year, Bazaarvoices is nominating global charities aligned with these pillars for employees to vote on to decide where the company will donate its time and money. Bazaarvoice provides opportunities for employees to volunteer and fundraise with these organizations, as well as match their donations to them up to $500.
