For Florence, one of the things that has kept her engaged throughout her career at Entain is the constant opportunity to learn.

As Head of Trading (Racing & Sport), Products and QA, no two days are the same. Working in a fast-moving industry means adapting to change, solving new challenges and constantly looking for ways to improve the experience for customers.

"I really enjoy my work because it's varied and you're constantly learning new things. The market is always changing and it's a real challenge to meet customers' expectations."

Alongside her day-to-day role, Florence has had opportunities to lead projects across her teams, developing new skills and taking on broader responsibilities as her career has progressed.

One milestone that stands out was completing project management training, which was encouraged by a former manager.

"Project management is a fabulous experience. Following a product from its inception right through to after it goes live boosts your self-confidence and strengthens the shared sense of achievement with your colleagues."

For Florence, being able to see a project through from idea to launch is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role.

Finding the right balance

Florence joined Ladbrokes Belgium, now part of Entain, with a strong ambition to learn and grow her career.

As her responsibilities increased over the years, she realised she needed to create more space for life outside work. A period of ill health, combined with the shift to remote working, gave her the opportunity to reset her priorities and invest more time in interests beyond her career.

Today, flexible ways of working help her balance both.

"Having that flexibility allows me to stay committed to my work while also making time for the things that matter outside of it."

For Florence, success isn't just about career progression. It's also about being able to thrive both professionally and personally.

Throughout her career at Entain, Florence has worked with teams across the business, including closely with colleagues from Eurobet on horse racing projects.

"I worked in a very close-knit team with the same goal: to succeed and improve the business."
