Proud that AECOM embraces diversity, equality and inclusion

Wendy calls herself an “out and proud” woman in a male-dominated industry, and she is also proud to say that her company AECOM embraces diversity, equity and inclusion just as much as she does.

Wendy has more than 36 years of management and technical experience, and has led AECOM in its efforts to secure the environmental clearance for the planned high-speed rail project between Dallas and Houston. She also managed AECOM's work on the City of Dallas Resilience Plan and has led design services for some of Dallas/Fort Worth’s top infrastructure projects.

Wendy’s career accomplishments have also been recognized by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she was selected for the alumni hall of fame. She was also elected to the American Society of Civil Engineers Grade of Fellow.

Before joining AECOM, Wendy was CEO of Wendy Lopez and Associates and LopezGarcia Group, where she grew the company from a one-person engineering consulting firm to an engineering and environmental services company with 200 employees. She later sold the business to URS Corp, which was later acquired by AECOM.
