The European Investment Fund (EIF) knows its EDGE Certification reinforces its commitment to gender equality.

“Through the certification process, the EIF has consolidated its strong foundation for progress in terms of gender equity in the organization. EIF’s EDGE Assess Certification marks an important milestone in the journey from commitment towards intentional, prioritized and measured actions,” says Aniela Unguresan, Founder of EDGE Certified Foundation.

Commenting on the EIF's certification and journey towards gender equity, Maria Leander, the EIF's Secretary General says, “The EDGE Certification recognises the collective commitment at the European Investment Fund to realise gender equality from top to bottom, and guides us on our next steps to foster an environment where all differences are valued, and our staff share an equal sense of community, reward and development.”

The EIF supports Europe's small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) by helping them to access finance. By offering an Integrated Risk Finance Product Range of SME finance to its intermediaries, the EIF complements the products offered by the European Investment Bank (EIB) with which they form the EIB Group.

EDGE is a leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for gender and intersectional equity. The EDGE Certification measures where organizations stand in terms of representation, pay equity, effectiveness of policies and practices to ensure equitable career flows as well as inclusiveness of their culture. Its vision is a more inclusive, equitable and prosperous society powered by gender and intersectional equity.
