EBRD discuss youth and gender inclusion in a changing world

 January 31, 2018

Listen to the latest ‘Pocket Economics’ podcast: Youth and Gender Inclusion, where we hear Barbara Rambousek, Lead Inclusion Economist at EBRD in conversation with Jonathan Charles as they ask "what can be done?"

This insightful podcast discusses equal opportunities in an unequal, increasingly changing world.

“Inclusion makes business sense. Studies show that for every percentage increase in inclusion in the workforce, the company’s performance goes up by 3.5 percent," says Barbara Rambousek.

Young people between the ages of 15 and 24 account for more than one quarter of the world's population. But over 40% of them are either unemployed or living in poverty. For young women the challenges are larger, and the statistics become even more alarming.
