Meet UK Chairman and Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Christine Hodgson

Capgemini Christine Hodgson

Christine Hodgson FCA is Chairman of Capgemini UK plc and a member of the Group Executive Committee. She chairs the Capgemini Group Sustainability Board and has worked at Capgemini for 20 years in a number of UK and Global roles. Christine co-founded the UK Women’s Business Network, renamed in 2018 to The Inclusive Network, to reflect Capgemini’s focus on diversity and inclusion and ensure that everyone is welcome.

In February 2015, Christine was appointed by Government to chair The Careers and Enterprise Company - a new, independent company, the aim of which is to inspire and prepare young people for the world of work.

Commenting on recent recognition for gender equality for Capgemini UK in 2018, Christine stated: “I’m delighted that we have again been recognised by Business in the Community in their prestigious ‘The Times Top 50 Employers for Women’ – a list which becomes more competitive every year. Our placing as one of just 50 companies leading the way on workplace gender equality in the UK is a marvellous achievement. It reflects our commitment – through our Active Inclusion programme and work with our community partners – to making the IT industry a better place for women to work and thrive.”

HeForShe: Martin Scott | Vice President, Delivery Director for Capgemini UK

Capgemini Martin Scott

Vice President, Delivery Director for Capgemini UK Martin Scott has been with Capgemini since 1997 and is a keen supporter of equality in the workplace: “I’m lucky enough to have two children - one of each - and I would like my daughter to have the full breadth of opportunities available to her. So, it’s very personal for me, as well as making really good business sense. Diversity in a team is essential – it creates debate and challenge, and a richness of conversation, which leads to brilliant and diverse outcomes. We also have to reflect the customers we partner with, and very few of our clients’ organisations are made up exclusively of white, middle-aged men.”
