Eaton honored as a veteran-friendly workplace

Eaton has received the HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor for its commitment to hiring U.S. military veterans. Eaton is one of only 16 employers in Ohio to receive this recognition.

We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to advancing veteran careers. And we see investing in veteran-specific programs and resources as an ongoing part of our talent development strategy."

Committed to veteran hiring and retention

The U.S. Department of Labor launched the HIRE Vets Medallion Program as an effort to recognise employers for their commitment in recruiting, employing and retaining veterans. It is the only veterans hiring award at the federal level. Eaton was evaluated based on its veteran hiring and retention practices, availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programming for veterans, dedicated human resources, and compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.

Honored as a veteran-friendly workplace

This isn't the first time Eaton has received an award for its efforts to recruit and support military veterans and their families. Eaton also won U.S. Veterans Magazine's 'Best of the Best' 2018 award and Military Times's 'Best for Vets' award in the same year.

Eaton aims to provide civilian careers for military veterans by creating a culture that includes principles that veterans valued in active duty, such as teamwork, taking pride in what you do, valuing new ideas, and an environment that fosters teaching and learning.

Supporting military families

Eaton doesn't just offer support to veterans, but also to their families. Eaton understands that a person's career change can impact their family, too, so it partners with the Department of Defense to connect military spouses with a network of partner employers who are committed to hiring military spouse talent.
