Capgemini has been named one of the Worlds Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute for the seventh year in a row. Capgemini is one of only three honorees from the consulting industry.

Commitment to ethical business practices

Ethisphere Institute is a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, and its award highlight's Capgemini's commitment to ethical business practices.

“This honor underscores our commitment to be a Leader for Leaders in all respects – to lead with integrity. Our clients choose us to accompany them on the most demanding missions to benefit from the aegis of our technical expertise and to affiliate with the way we work, with ethics embedded in everything we do – they are buying into an ethical future," says Paul Hermelin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Capgemini Group.

"Capgemini is honored to be recognized once again for its high ethical standards and practices. We are constantly evolving to be at the forefront of our industry, trusting our core values to guide us forward. We aim to make accessible the benefits emerging through opportunities in areas such as cloud, digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI)," adds Philippe Christelle, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) at the Capgemini Group.

"As leaders we also aim to set the ethical standards for our industry, to build an ethical future for all stakeholders – clients, team members, shareholders, and the wider community.”

Setting an example for others

In 2019, there are 128 honorees across 21 countries and 50 industries. The honorees show how companies can strive to improve communities, create capable and empowered workforces, and establish corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose.

The chosen honorees: ethics and compliance program, culture of ethics, corporate citizenship and responsibility, governance and leadership and reputation.

Timothy Erblich, Chief Executive Officer at Ethisphere said: “Today, employees, investors and stakeholders are putting their greatest trust in companies to take leadership on societal issues. The World’s Most Ethical Companies set the pace that others follow, taking the long view with a purpose-based strategy that fuels their culture and business success. Each year we evolve our recognition methodology to ensure we are acknowledging the real leaders in ethical corporate governance and best practice.
