Global technology company Medtronic supports young people in education through an exciting Medtronic Scholarship Program.
The purpose of the scholarship program is to encourage and assist employees’ children as they continue their post-secondary education in college and vocational programs.
A memorial making a difference to people’s futures
The program was established in 1982 as a memorial to recognize the dedicated service of Palmer J. Hermundslie to Medtronic as the company’s co-founder.
Scholarships are offered to children of eligible U.S. and Puerto Rico-based Medtronic employees. Each year up to 25% of the applicants are granted scholarships for full-time study at any accredited postsecondary institution of the student’s choice.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America and awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
Generous rewards on offer for ambitious learners
The scholarship award amounts are $500 to $1,500. Once the recipients are selected, the amount of each individual award will be determined by financial need, with the maximum amount of total awards per family being $3,000 per year.
