Amazon featured: Women Future Leaders + Female Executives list

Two women Amazonians have been recognised for their outstanding work. KR Liu and Jacqui Chin both work with Amazon and are featured in the HERoes Women Role Model Lists supported by Yahoo Finance. These lists of inspirational women and advocate role models showcase the incredible work being done to champion diversity and inclusion in business.

KR Liu included within 50 Women Future Leaders list

KR Liu (pictured), Principal Accessibility Marketing Lead at Amazon Lab, is included within the 50 Women Future Leaders list.

KR has been a fierce advocate and leader for connecting underrepresented groups with disabilities throughout the technology industry. At Amazon, her passion is to continue to drive inclusion and awareness for people of all backgrounds with disabilities to have a voice to create change.

Prior to Amazon, KR advised Google on projects that focused on tech innovation in accessibility. KR is on several boards, including the Consumer Technology Association Foundation, Deaf Kids Code, the World Wide Hearing Foundation and SXSW, to drive disability inclusion in product design and culture. She has been awarded a U.S. Congressional award; Silicon Valley’s Top 40 Under 40 and 2017 Women of Influence; and 2015 Women on the Move by Women’s Business Journal for her advocacy and accessibility work in technology and policy.

Jacqui Chin recognised in 100 Female Executives list

Meanwhile, Jacqui Chin, Director, EU Consumables at Amazon, is named within the 100 Female Executives list.

Jacqui launched and leads Amazon’s Women@ employee affinity group in the UK, providing thousands of employees with resources and activities to develop skills, manage their career and expand their network. She leads teams of Women@ employee volunteers to create and deliver initiatives that support gender diversity in recruitment, policy, community and learning and development.

Jacqui advocated for and steered delivery of Amazon’s Flexible Working Guidelines, which are today in place across five EU countries. She has also championed the development and launch of updated UK Parental Leave Guidelines. 

Jacqui initiated and led growth of Amazon mentoring schemes, including One-to-One Mentoring and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Groups, where she steered automation of P2P mentoring management enabling increased participation by over 150 per cent in 2019 to involve thousands of employees. 

She also led Women@ input to launch the Amazon Amplify programme to increase the number of women working in tech and innovation and to inspire the next generation of women innovators. Amplify includes initiatives such as the Amazon Web Services Return to Work programme, which gives people who have not been in work a chance to come back to full-time employment with training and coaching on new cloud technology skills. 

Jacqui's leadership of many initiatives has helped Amazon to be recognized as Female Tech Employer of the Year in the 2019 Women in Tech Awards, and supported Amazon’s first place ranking in the LinkedIn UK Top Companies 2019 list.
