The World Index is considered the gold standard for measuring corporate sustainability and benchmarks the world’s largest companies based upon their economic, environmental and sustainable business performance.
Scooping third place as an industry leader in sustainability
Diageo ranks third in both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index and is listed as the industry leader in nine of the index criteria including:
- brand management
- risk and crisis management
- strategy for emerging markets
- environmental reporting
- packaging
- water related risks
- corporate citizenship and philanthropy and labour practice
