Avon CEO writes about the power of relationships during a crisis

 March 31, 2020

Angela Cretu, CEO at Avon, has penned a blog post on LinkedIn to inspire others during these challenging and uncertain times. Avon has always been a company with a focus on family and community, so Angela calls for people to stand together, be there for each other, and offer up our own unique skills to make people's lives less difficult.

Harnessing the power of relationships

For Angela, Avon has something big to contribute: the power of relationships, thanks to its community of Representatives and their families.

"At Avon, we’re a company built on relationships. We’re proud to be a global community of women, their families, friends and customers. It’s been heartening to see these relationships in action during the current situation. Representatives are strengthening virtual connections with each other and their customers to keep their businesses up and running. And we’re doing everything we can to support and empower them," writes Angela.

This support comes in the form of guidance on best practice hygiene and preventive measures, offering tips on how to run an online business, and running virtual webinars for training and employee health and wellbeing.

"Avon is proud to stand for safe and healthy lives for all," continues Angela. "We’d previously committed to donate $10m to women’s charities this year from Avon and the Avon Foundation. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ll be going over and above our initial commitment."
