Amazon hosts virtual Bring Your Kids to Work Day - over a week

 August 26, 2020

The coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop Amazon's Bring Your Kids to Work Day.

Amazon went virtual with tons of activities for Amazon employees and their kids at home, from cooking demos to science experiments.

Engaging and entertaining employees' kids

Amazon organized a full week of fun, learning, and inspiration designed to engage and entertain kids of all ages.

Amazon offered on-demand content and activities to customize the experience for its employees' kids - by age or interest, and on whatever schedule worked best for them and their family.

Fun activities for the whole family

Activities included arts and crafts, where families could unleash their creative side through Amazon videos and guides to help you make jewelry, build sculptures, and even produce a mini comic; books and music, where children learned how to draw their own graphic novel, or could settle in for story time with children’s book authors, join sing-alongs, and listen to special performances; and snack time, where families could access recipes to keep kids of all ages entertained and learning in the kitchen.

Top 10 favourite activities

Amazon put together a list of the top 10 activities that Amazon employees and their families enjoyed the most.

These included technology, sketching, Alexa, homemade donuts, and a sneaker-wearing blue cat.

Entertaining, inspiring, and perfectly peculiar - that’s how Amazon employees will remember the first-ever Amazon Virtual Kids week.
