AECOM Director in Building Engineering Mike Burton has won Best Male Mentor in the the European Women In Construction & Engineering (WICE) Awards, which aim to create role models for women considering a career in these sectors, while encouraging companies to employ and train more women in these industries.

Mike has won Best Male Mentor for supporting women working within construction and engineering. He has contributed to nurturing their talent in a way that has helped them to grow and mature as exceptional in their fields.

Leading world class teams and ground breaking projects

Mike is a an experienced Environmental & MEP Engineering Director with a proven history of leading world class teams and ground breaking projects. 

Mike leads AECOM's award winning Building Engineering team in London and is responsible for major UK and overseas projects, working with leading developers, occupiers, architects, contractors and consultants to deliver world class sustainable buildings.  

Mike led the AECOM Building Services design team for the award winning BBC Broadcasting House redevelopment project. He is also leading the team delivering the next generation of sustainable buildings including Lansdowne House, Salisbury Square, and Canada Water.
