AECOM sponsored the Women in Rail Awards that aim to showcase and reward individuals and companies, large and small, who have made a significant contribution to improving gender balance, equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK railway industry.

“At AECOM we are honoured to work with so many successful and ambitious women. Increasing diversity and addressing the gender imbalance in the engineering sector is something that AECOM is very passionate about. We are proud to support the Women in Rail awards and to recognise the great achievements and significant contributions that women in the UK make to the rail industry. Attracting a diverse group of professionals in this sector encourages a wide variety of ideas which will help us deliver the most effective railway,“ stated AECOM.

Further sponsors included leading industry groups like The Railway Industry Association (RIA), RSSB, High Speed 1 Ltd and Great Western Railway.

Celebrating individuals and companies in the UK railway industry

The event was attended by a cross section of the UK rail sector, including key stakeholders and decision makers, infrastructure providers, operators, manufacturers, rolling stock companies, technical consultancy companies and suppliers.
