EY named best professional services employer globally

EY has been named the world's No.1 professional services employer for the second year in a row, and the fourth most attractive employer overall in Universum’s World’s Most Attractive Employers annual survey. Additionally, EY was also ranked for the first time in Universum’s top 50 list of global employers for engineering and IT students.

Great people help drive purpose

Mark Weinberger, EY Global Chairman and CEO remarked:  “We are honored to be named the world’s most attractive professional services employer for the second consecutive year, and the fourth most attractive employer overall. At EY, our people are at the center of our business, they deliver the best results for our clients and help us realize our purpose of building a better working world every day.”

Recognised by top talent

The list is recognised as one of the critical scores in determining a business’ ability to attract top talent. Each year, 3000 companies are nominated in over 57 markets as preferred employers by students and professionals.

Participants choose which employers they are aware of, would consider working for, who are ideal and who they would apply for. The data forms the internationally recognised rankings released each year by Universum.

Investing in employees’ career journeys

Nancy Altobello, EY Global Vice Chair of  Talent, says “We are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our 250,000 people around the world. This includes developing our people into purpose-driven leaders and growing their career value by equipping them with the necessary skills to solve the most complex problems, as well as anticipating the skills they’ll need in the future. It’s about investing in each person’s unique career journey, and we’re thrilled the business and engineering/IT students who participated in Universum’s survey continue to see and appreciate the value in the EY experience.”

Encouragement and support from the start

If you are looking for a company where you can grow your career, EY consistently aims to support employees in achieving their goals.

Women at EY are enjoying great support as their careers flourish. “I can very confidently say that I’m thriving well at EY,” remarks Nishita a Manager in EY’s Advisory practice. “Having the opportunity to work with clients from different sectors, with different challenges and needs, means that you’re often immersed and work swiftly to deliver valuable insights. I find this particularly rewarding because it teaches me to be a fast-learner and a highly resourceful individual, and it enables me to deliver work that I feel proud of and gain a great sense of accomplishment from.”

EY invests in their employees

EY has invested more than US$500m in training and nearly 12 million hours in classroom instruction for its people worldwide back in 2016. By replacing traditional classroom training with exercises that simulate real business challenges, EY’s people were able to put their new skills into practice and see how the skills they’ve acquired will apply to the work they’re doing every day.

EY offers great rewards and benefits

In exchange for meeting challenges and consistently high performance, employees are rewarded for their contribution to EY’s success via paid parental leave, flexible working arrangements, employee assistance program, work/life links, professional memberships and study assistance.
