EBRD's Barbara Rambousek discusses gender equality

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Director of Gender & Economic Inclusion, Barbara Rambousek, was a guest speaker at the Conference of the Heads of German Missions.

Taking place in the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, the conference focused on rethinking policy and brought together guests from the worlds of business, diplomacy, politics, economics, culture and civil society.

The conference agenda covered a variety of regional and global topics via panels, workshops and discussions, including gender equality and feminist foreign policy.

"Women are the world’s largest emerging market. Women in business are a highly profitable but underserved market segment," commented Barbara.

Barbara established the Bank’s approach to integrating economic inclusion into the Bank’s mandate, to address inequality challenges through private sector investments and policy engagement.

Barbara's focus is on creating equitable access to employment and skills, entrepreneurship and finance as well as key infrastructure service, reflecting the specific needs of women, youth, aging populations, migrants and others.

Barbara is a regular speaker at high-profile international events and on topics such as inequality, inclusion, skills, just transition and gender.
