EIB VP Teresa Czerwnska speaks on digitalization at EU summit

Women leaders working at the European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group) often share their expertise at major events that bring together the global community.

One such leader is Vice President Teresa Czerwnska, who spoke at the Ministerial Roundtable for the Three Seas - a community born out of a shared interest in developing transport, energy and digital infrastructure connections on the EU’s north-south axis

In response to the increasing digitalization of everyday life and business, Teresa reiterated EIB's commitment to strengthen cybersecurity, digital development and tackle digital inequalities. 

"Representing EIB at the digital summit of Three Seas Region's meeting - EIB is devoted to support the development of the digital technologies since digitalization will be pivotal not only for the economic development but also for the future security of Europe," commented Teresa.

The Three Seas Initiative aims to promote cooperation, first and foremost, for the development of infrastructure in the energy, transport, and digital sectors. The initiative targets new investments, economic growth, and energy security.

At the EIB Group, Teresa's areas of oversight include: financing of science, education, innovation and the digital economy; InvestEU; implementation of three lines of defence 3LoD; financing operations in Croatia, Hungary, Poland, the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine), Central Asia, China and Mongolia; and relations with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
