Diageo has run a week long programme of celebratory events, lively debates and TED-style talks for INC. week - a programme focused on accelerating an inclusive culture.

The focus on creating an environment that embraces difference and enables people to reach their full potential falls in line with Diageo’s #ProudofWhoWeAre campaign.

Exciting inclusivity events with inspirational speakers

Leaders and employees kicked events off by signing a pledge wall to show their commitment to a diverse and inclusive culture. Events also saw guest speakers including Pippa Bunce from Credit Suisse discuss Trans and non-binary identities and an inspiring speech from Gender Equality expert Helene Reardon Bond OBE, Deputy Director Head of Gender Equality, UK Government Equalities Office

“It’s been amazing to be involved in planning INC. week – inclusivity is one of my core values and I’m passionate about ensuring that Diageo continues to be at the forefront of inclusivity in the workplace,” says Daniel Timmins, an HR graduate based in London.

Long-term diversity goals

INC. Week has run in parallel with Pride Month celebrations at Diageo, which was kicked off with the announcement of a fantastic new initiative launched by Diageo’s Rainbow Network.

Diageo believes strongly that by promoting diversity and above all inclusion, the company will benefit in many ways. Not only does it give access to the widest possible talent pool but it also means that Diageo can better reflect and understand its diverse consumer base. Taken together this makes Diageo a more creative, vibrant and exciting place to be. The company was in fact recently recognised as number 10 out of over 3000 companies in an annual gender equality report by Equileap.
