WSP believes in nurturing a culture of belonging – where all are welcomed and included.

Celebrating Pride Month, WSP is highlighting its Pride Employee Resource Groups around the WSP world.

Celebrating a sense of pride and belonging

WSP is steadfast in its commitment to building a diverse organization with an authentic and inclusive culture in which every person’s unique contribution is celebrated no matter where they are and how they describe themselves.

Promoting understanding about the LGBTQIA+ community

In honor of Pride Month, WSP asked LGBTQIA+ employee - engineer Yi-Ting Rao in China, what stands out to her about the company's Pride Employee Resource Groups.

"For LGBTQIA+ employees, Pride Employee Resource Groups can serve as a safety blanket for people who might feel marginalized, creating a community for everyone to thrive. For other coworkers, Pride Employee Resource Groups can promote the understanding and equity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Such groups can help people realize the prevalence of unconscious bias and how to avoid it," says Yi-Ting.

Creating a tolerant and progressive workplace

Celebrating the sense of belonging, creating a place where everyone is respected and free to be themselves, WSP Local Government Director & Co-Chair of the VIBE Community, Roger Evans, shares what belonging means to him. "Belonging means bringing my whole self to work and feeling safe and secure that I won't suffer bullying or harassment. It also means being a senior role model within the business and helping to create a tolerant and progressive workplace."
