QBE European Operations (QBE) offers employees the opportunity to give back to charitable causes, with 40 QBE employees having taken part in the Chiltern Ultra challenge to raise funds for the company's charity partner, Action Tutoring. The charity strives to help bridge the academic attainment gap and provide support to disadvantaged students across the UK.
QBE employees enjoyed great team spirit as they saw some of the Chiltern's finest countryside with historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves and fantastic views. At the basecamp in Henley, there was a celebration BBQ, bar and entertainment.
Helping to unlock children's progress
Action Tutoring unlocks the potential of children and young people who are facing disadvantage. The charity is tackling the attainment gap head-on by forging partnerships with schools nationwide. Trained volunteer tutors are empowered to enable pupils to make meaningful academic progress, opening doors to future opportunities.
