Working for a company with a commitment to equality and that fosters an inclusive and diverse work environment where all employees feel valued, respected and accepted can be rewarding.

Honeywell is named in the Equality 100 Award from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, the highest score a company can receive.

"Inclusion and diversity are foundational principles of our company, and this award reaffirms our commitment to LGBTQ+ equality," commented Honeywell.

Honeywell has instilled Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) as a foundational principle, both because it’s the right thing to do and because it is a fundamental enabler for its business.

Driving workplace inclusion

The HRC Foundation's Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees, and as such is a primary driving force for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

Data from the Corporate Equality Index (tells the story of over two decades of year-over-year growth in the adoption of these critical policies and practices indicative of employers' commitment to equality.

97% of CEI rated employers explicitly include 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity' as a part of their nondiscrimination policy. 70% of CEI participants documented that they provide inclusive benefits for same- and different-sex spouses and partners. 94 of CEI-rated businesses (a record 1,298 of 1,384 respondents) offer at least one transgender-inclusive plan option with current market standard coverage.

Implementing LGBTQ+ inclusive policies

Honeywell leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion

The HRC Foundation's Corporate Equality Index continues to show incredible growth in the number of employers that are committed to implementing LGBTQ+ inclusive policies and practices. The HRC Foundation has recognized the 545 businesses that met all the criteria to earn a score of 100 and the designation of being a 2023 Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion recipient.

Top-rated CEI employers come from nearly every industry and region of the US. To earn top ratings, these employers took concrete steps to establish and implement comprehensive policies, benefits and practices that ensure greater equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families.
