Prime employer for women Northrop Grumman supported the prestigious Women in Defence Awards in the UK as a category sponsor.

Women in Defence UK promotes the value of women in defence and is at the forefront of conversation around gender balance in the defence enterprise. The Women in Defence Awards celebrate incredible work, provide inspiration and promote women in the sector.
Air Marshal Sue Gray presented the awards at a ceremony in London, to the winners of each of the 10 categories and an overall award for Woman of the Year. Nominations were received from across the defence community including the Armed Forces, MOD Civil Service, GCHQ, MI5, defence industry and the defence third sector.
STEM in Defence Award
Northrop Grumman sponsored the STEM in Defence Award, which was won by STARRSHIP – an RAF, Rolls-Royce, Royal Air Forces Association charity and STEM collaboration.
STARRSHIP was nominated for its creative and inclusive approach in inspiring the next generation of girls and boys to believe they can succeed in STEM, building on the enthusiasm generated by the RAF’s centenary.
As well as supporting the awards, Northrop Grumman was also a finalist for the Inclusive Teamwork Award.
