Schneider Electric named most sustainable company in the world

Schneider Electric has been recognized as the most sustainable corporation in a Global 100 ranking compiled by researcher Corporate Knights.

"The win is a testament to our continuous efforts in bridging progress and sustainability for all," tweeted Schneider Electric in response to the news.

A major focus on sustainable innovation

Corporate Knights found that 70% of Schneider’s revenue comes from sustainable solutions and almost three-quarters of its investment is focused on green innovation. Read The Guardian's coverage of the news.

Schneider Electric was also praised for its commitment to racial and gender diversity.

Schneider Electric has also laid out six long-term commitments for sustainability while continuously invest in and develop innovative solutions that deliver immediate and lasting decarbonization in line with its carbon pledge. 

A milestone in Schneider Electric's sustainability strategy

Schneider Electric leaders commented on this outstanding achievement.

"January 25 2021 marks a historic moment for Schneider Electric as we rank first in Corporate Knights's Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations 2021. An incredible milestone in our 15-year journey as we accelerate on our sustainability strategy," said Chris Leong, Chief Marketing Officer at Schneider Electric.

"Truly honored. You can count on us to keep raising the bar for ourselves, and for our customers and partners," explained Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire, who prior to the announcement took part in global events to promote sustainable business and living. 

“All of us – companies, governments, individuals – can contribute to make the world greener and more inclusive,” he added.
